The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a service group that brings together individuals of similar interests to share in fellowship and to use their time and talents to produce hand-crafted shawls. These shawls are made with prayer to help spread the message of God's mercy, love, and compassion.

Our Mission
The mission of the Prayer Shawl Ministry is to create prayer shawls and blankets for those in our parish family and community as a gift to provide hope, comfort, healing, love and prayers through the work of our hands.
The ministry benefits both the parish community and the greater community. As ministry members, we benefit from the comradery of our knitting circle community and the joy of giving spiritually-based comfort to others.
A Reminder of God
Prayer shawls, sometimes called comfort shawls, peace shawls, or mantles, are intended to be a reminder of God’s ever present love. A prayer shawl is a gift for every time and every occasion—joyful or sorrowful, for every circumstance of life—chosen or unchosen, when you are weeping or when you are celebrating. The power of the prayer shawl is in its physical properties and source of warmth.
Donations
If your means allow, donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated!
Donations allow us to keep this ministry strong and ongoing. It is the "pay it forward" concept of treating others with kindness and helping them in times of need, and in return, that person will help others because of the help that you gave the. If everyone does a kind deed for another, it eventually comes full circle back.
Donations can be in the form of money, yarn, or gift cards to neighborhood yarn/craft shops.
All donatinos can be dropped off at the Rectory (32 St. James Place, Totowa).
Thank you for your support!
